1950 R423 Baseball Complete Strip (13) With Ruth and Cobb! One of the most obscure and oddly designed promotions are the tiny approx. 5/8" x 7/8" strip cards of the R423 series from 1950. The cards were dispensed in the form of 13-card strips from vending machines and are believed to be intended for playing a game. The star-studded strip offers no less than seven Hall of Famers including key subjects Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb. Includes: #'s 21 D. Dean, 67 Connie Mack, 12 Ty Cobb, 105 Stankey, 110 L. Waner, 92 Babe Ruth, 38 Hank Greenberg, 55 Kinder, 59 Bob Lemon, 42 Heintzman, 80 Philley, 50 Joost and 81 Porterfield. Grades NM.
