    1950-56 Callahan Baseball High Grade Near Set (79/82). Sold at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown and in ballparks around the country, these cards featuring drawings by famed artist Mario DeMarco were produced from 1950 to 1956. B.E. Callahan of Chicago, the publisher of "Who's Who in Baseball," produced the card set. Offered is a high-grade near set of 79 cards. It is not easy to find these fragile, fifty-eight year-old cards in near mint condition or better. Twenty-three cards have been graded by SGC. Highlights include: Graded - SGC 92 NM/MT+ 8.5: 6 cards w/#'s Chadwick, Frisch, Lajoie, Mack, Ruth and Waner; SGC 88 NM/MT 8: 12 cards w/Bender, Connolly, DiMaggio, Foxx, Heilmann, Jennings, Klem, Maranville, McGinnity, Nichols, Ott and Speaker; SGC 86 NM+ 7.5: 4 cards w/Gehrig, Johnson, Kelly and Landis; SGC 84 NM 7: 1 card, Grove. Ungraded - include Baker (EX), Cobb (NM), Dean (EX/MT), Hubbell (NM), Mathewson (VG), Wagner (NM) and Young (EX). Grades 57% NM to NM/MT 33% EX to EX/MT, 10% lesser. SMR value exceeds $4,000.
