Description

1948 Bowman Baseball High Grade Complete Set (48). The national pastime would once again take center stage thanks to Bowman's premier baseball series of 48 cards in the spring of 1948. Being the first major baseball card issue since World War II, this set is the opening pitch to the modern era of card production. The set offers a tremendous line-up up rookie cards with names like Musial, Kiner, Spahn, Rizzuto, Slaughter, Berra and others. This is a very attractive set where not a single card is affected by a major condition issue. A total of 17 cards have been graded by PSA. Highlights include: Graded - PSA NM-MT 8: 8 cards, #'s 4 Mize, 15, 19 Henrich, 26, 27, 30, 33 and 34; PSA NM 7: 6 cards, #'s 3 Kiner, 5 Feller, 8 Rizzuto, 12 Sain, 14 Reynolds and 32; PSA EX-MT+ 6.5: 1 card, #17 Slaughter; PSA EX-MT 6: 1 card, #6 Berra; PSA EX 5: 1 card, #36 Musial.
