    Description

1943 R302-1 M. P. Corp Baseball Partial Set (15/24). Both of the R302 editions are both praised and maligned for the same reason, the quality of the illustrations. Granted, more attention to actually depicting the players would have been nice but they also have that simplistic charm one appreciates in vintage cards. Issued in strips, this 15-card partial set offers examples of both factory and hand cut cards. Lone them or not, this set boasted a star studded line-up including war-time Joe DiMaggio and an early appearance by Pee Wee Reese. Includes: Bonham, Cooper, Cronin, J. DiMaggio, Feller, Hack, Henrich, Hubbell, Medwick, Mize, Novikoff, Ott, Reese, Reiser, Vander Meer. All have an ink number on the reverse. Grades PR to GD.
