1939 Play Ball Baseball Partial Set (106/162). The set that laid the groundwork for what would become the Bowman brand, this 1939 Play Ball release offers a partial set of 106 cards. Featuring crisp black and white photographs, the card fronts present the players without any additional design elements. This clean and simple approach allows the images to tell the story without distractions. A total of 6 cards have been graded by PSA. This set is missing #'s 8, 12, 26 DiMaggio, 36, 58, 59, 64, 82, 92 Williams, 102, 116, 117-130, 132-162.
