1936 Exhibits 4 on 1 Complete Set (16) - Ranked #2 All-Time and Current Finest on the PSA Set Registry! It was the late 1920s when the Exhibit Supply Co. first designed cards with four players instead of one. This meant a set of 16 cards would be like a kid getting 64 different players... all for the same penny. When Goudey changed the game in 1933 with colorful packs and boxes a product that could easily fill a store shelf, the arcade card was beginning that slope into history although that was still decades away. These mid-30s promotions are found far less often today. The 16 cards in the scarce 1936 edition boast one card for each of the then current Major League teams. You'll find legends such as Jimmie Foxx, 300-game winner Lefty Grove, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Cochrane and not one but both Dean brothers.
