    Description

1934 Buffalo Bisons Team Issue Complete Set (4) - All Known Subjects. Baseball's rich traditions go far deeper than the major league level. The history of the team "Buffalo Bisons" goes back to 1879 and still fields a team bearing the Bison name currently part of the International League. To the best of our knowledge this is the first complete set of all four known subjects of this extremely rare team issue has been made available at public auction. The premium sized, thin card stock collectibles are 4x7-1/8" and to date only the four offered subjects are known. The roster of Bison teammates includes Kenneth L. Ash, Harold "Ace" Elliott, Gregory Mulleavy and Irving Plummer. This team issue appeared in 1934 when the team called Offermann Stadium their home turf. Only Irv Plummer never made it to the majors. Cards present nicely but all have one or two pin holes. A rare presentation and one I'm sure most type card collectors still need.
