Description

1927 W560 Baseball Complete Set (64) - As Four Uncut Sheets. Although assigned a "W" number in the American Card Catalog, this "strip" card issue was actually issued in the form of four different 16-subject uncut 7" x 11" sheets. The cards are designed like playing cards and are printed in red ink, black ink or a combination of the two. The set includes non-sport celebrities and athletes. Notable names include: Babe Ruth (sl. st.), Jack Dempsey, Chas. Lindbergh, Both Waner brothers, Hornsby, Cochrane, Pennock, Lou Gehrig, Cuyler, Walter Johnson, Foxx, Grove and Simmons. The panels present very nicely and have only minor condition issues like a crease or a moisture stain putting technical grade at VG for each. These issues mostly affect the corner cards.
