1922 E121 American Caramel Near Set (123/124) - #1 on the PSA Set Registry! Set GPA: 2.70; Set Rank: #1 on the PSA Set Registry. From every era there are a few sets which define the times. The 1922 E121 American Caramel-Series of 120 edition is one of those defining productions. The series offers over 30 Hall of Famers, including one member of the Football HoF. Baseball legends like Ruth (2), Cobb (2), Johnson, Hornsby (2), Collins, Alexander, Speaker, Sisler plus so many other stars and superstars, some making multiple appearances are present. The set is also home for some of the rarest variations of the vintage era. This presentation includes 123 of the 124 registered cards. Missing is only a "Babe" Ruth/Montage for completion of the PSA composition. Only the most passionate hobbyist attempts to try to come close to accumulating anything close to a near set as it is one of the more challenging "E" sets of the 20th Century to complete. As it pertains to the registry, this presentation is 99.1% complete and offers some of the highest graded examples known. Over a dozen names are the highest grade known with none higher, most are pop 1 status. Pop reports and registry status aside, the significance of this offering is the completeness. Most collectors abandon this issue when the realization that acquiring the final 25% of the set is going to be nothing short of excruciating. A set this intact has never been offered publicly before. As far as we have been able to confirm, the next most complete "set" at auction was 86 different cards. Certainly an accomplishment, but barely over the two-thirds mark. Includes: Graded - PSA EX-MT 6: 1 card, Toporcer/Topocer; PSA EX 5: 1 card, Maranville; PSA VG-EX 4.5: 1 card, Wingo; PSA VG-EX 4: 21 cards, w/Bancroft, Hoyt, Huggins, Wheat and R. Youngs; PSA VG+ 3.5: 2 cards, Faber; PSA VG 3: 55 cards, w/Alexander, Carey, Collins, Hooper, Hornsby/2B, McGraw, Rixey and Roush; PSA GD+ 2.5: 4 cards, w/ Cobb/Throwing, Hornsby/O.F. and Johnson; PSA GD 2: 21 cards, w/ Cobb/Batting and Schalk/Catching; PSA FR+ 1.5: 2 cards, w/ Speaker/Small Projection; PSA PR 1: 14 cards, w/ Frisch, Heilmann/Batting, "Babe" Ruth/Holding Ball, "Babe" Ruth/Holding Bird, Schalk/Batting and Sisler/Batting; PSA Authentic: 1 card. There are two additional confirmed variations known. For the most critical, this presentation is a 123 of 126 card near set and still an attention grabbing 97.6% complete. Please see our web site for a complete list of the contents of this near set.

The way you grouped lots, photographed, and presented the material was too notch. I was impressed that you took the time to attribute coins to the Krause reference as their "plate coin" and that many of your descriptions included pertinent facts and infor
