1912 W-Unc. Baseball Strip Cards SGC Graded Collection (8) - With Two Uncatalogued Subjects. This series stayed in almost complete obscurity for close to a century before a few precious examples made their way to the attention of the hobby. The look and feel of the approx. 1-3/8" x 1-5/8" collectibles make them comparable to the W555 Jay S. Meyer "Base Ball Snap Shots" edition from 1910. It is possible they are a unique promotion or could very well be another Meyer sponsorship as they are dated to 1912 but may actually pre-date the W555 edition. For now, they are assumed to have served as part of a box of candy. Offered for the first time anywhere are eight of these rare cards including subjects never before confirmed in any reference guide. Includes: Graded - SGC 50 VG/EX 4: 1 card, Brown (George?); SGC 40 VG 3: 1 card, Leach; SGC 30 Good 2: 2 cards, Jack Barry (Uncatalogued) and Oscar Stanage; SGC 20 FR 1.5: 1 card, Larry Doyle (Uncatalogued); SGC Authentic: 3 cards, Bill Carrigan, Honus Wagner and Cy Young.
