Also includes the original 2-color, paper header card (PR, missing pieces); 1923 German Baseball Transfers Uncut Sheet of 25 With Ruth, Cobb and Dempsey. "German Transfers" are 1-1/8" by 1-1/2" tattoos cut to look like a regular postage stamp, a name they are also at times referred to. The German release was a budget production for sure as portraits are limited to three colors and a very cartoonish drawing style. Of the 25 subjects found on this intact sheet are baseball players Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Red Faber, Ray Schalk, Dave Bancroft, Grover C. Alexander, Tris Speaker and famed boxer Jack Dempsey. The thin paper panel presents very nicely but does have pin holes affecting Schalk and Dempsey, Carpenter has slight damage.
