    Description

1907 PC765-2 Dietsche Chicago Cubs Complete Set (15) - #1 on the PSA Set Registry! This set ranks at the #1 set on the "All Time Finest" and "Current Finest" lists on the PSA Set Registry. The faithful fans of the Chicago Cubs were finally gifted with a World's Championship in 2016. Yes, it was 108 years in the making but the taste is just as sweet. The immense talents of the 2016 are well known and a look at the 1907 and '08 squad shows a level of talent just as impressive. For the '07 World Series, Dietsche post cards sets honoring 15 members of the Cubs and the Detroit Tigers were produced and today are prized addition to vintage collections. Being a Detroit based firm and the fact the Cubs beat the Tigers in 1907 and 1908 it comes as no surprise the Cubs entries are quite scarce compared to a relatively even supply of available cards featuring the Tigers. Complete sets are very challenging even for the most die-hard Cubs enthusiast. We are pleased to be able to not just offer a 15-card complete set but one of such overall quality, a set offering no less than eight cards that are pop one or pop two with none higher title holders. Includes: PSA EX-MT 6: 4 cards, Frank Chance (Pop One, None Higher!), John Evers (Pop Three, One Higher), John Kling (Pop One, None Higher!) and Joe Tinker (Pop Two, None Higher); PSA EX+ 5.5: 2 cards, Carl Lundgren (Pop One, None Higher!) and Patrick Morgan (Pop One, None Higher!); PSA EX 5: 4 cards, Arthur Hofman (Pop Two, None Higher), Frank Schulte, James Sheckard and Mordecai Brown (Pop Two, Two Higher); PSA VG-EX+ 4.5: 1 card, Harry Steinfeldt (Pop Two, None Higher); PSA VG-EX 4: 4 cards, John Pfeister (MK), Ed Reulbach (Pop Two, None Higher), James Slagle and Orval Overall.
