    Description

1907 Dietsche Detroit Tigers Postcards (PC765-1) Set (15). A set of sorts, this collection of Series 1 issue Detroit Tigers postcards released in 1907 contains one of every single player card issued; missing only the Cobb fielding variation and dual-card of Germany Schaefer and Charles O'Leary. The Tyrus R. Cobb (batting) postcard has been graded by SGC as SGC 60 EX 5:, as fine a specimen as you're likely to find. His greatness is evident judging by the text on the back of the postcard; simply stating, "He is almost sure of leading the American League in batting for the season of 1907." Cobb is joined by fellow Hall of Famers Sam Crawford and Hugh Jennings. The balance of the set rates VG/EX or better with corner wear the only real negative, postcard backs are relatively clean and free of writing.
