1907-09 H.M. Taylor Detroit Tigers Partial Set (5). From the John Esch Collection. Offered is a gallery of five scarce 1907 H. M. Taylor post cards featuring members of the Detroit Tigers made famous by manager Hughie Jennings and a young Ty Cobb. While the tobacco pack had been established as a primary source for insert cards, another very popular option was the postcard. At the very least they were healthier to use. Each is graded by SGC. Our offered selection includes: Coughlin/Batting (SGC Poor 1), Crawford/Ready for the Ball (SGC VG 3), Donovan/Batting (SGC Poor 1), Donovan/Jennings/Chance (SGC Poor 1), and Jennings (SGC VG/EX 4).Auction Info
