1996 Topps Legends of the Fifties Bronze Trading Cards Collection. We haven't been able to find too much information on this issue, which leads us to believe it's quite rare and perhaps made just for VIP's and players. Musial's personal collection is comprised of sixteen weighty bronze reproductions of vintage Topps cards, seven of them picturing himself. The balance: Ford, Berra, Snider, Spahn, Robinson, Mays, Mantle, Banks, Mathews. Many are still in their paper sleeves, never opened and presumably Mint (though the opened ones show no wear either). They are housed in an attractive wooden hinged box measuring 9x19x1.5". Box exhibits mild handling wear.
Letter of provenance from the Musial family.
