Description
Rare 1973 Topps Test Comics Collection (6). Strictly a test issue, if ever publicly issued at all, the 24 players in the 1973 Topps Comics issue appear on 4-5/8" x 3-7/16" waxed paper wrappers. The design is reminiscent of the popular Bazooka Joe comics and they were intended to house pieces of bubble gum. The inside of the wrapper combines a color photo and facsimile autograph with a comic-style presentation of the player's career highlights. This group consists of Nate Colbert, Willie Davis, Mike Epstein (EX), Mickey Lolich, Lee May (EX) and George Scott. Grades NM/MT unless noted.Auction Info
