1968 Topps Test Baseball Plaks Tom Davis, Jim Wynn & Richie Allen Complete Panel. The Topps test series called "Baseball Plaks" from 1968 has remained an extremely rare and seemingly uncirculated promotion where supply will never meet demand. The prized contents elude even the most veteran Topps test specialist. The Plaks were actually plastic portraits and name plate bases issued in 3-player panels. Just like model car and plane kits, the heads and name plates were removed and snapped together created a stand-up head about approx. 2" high. Offered is a complete panel featuring Tom Davis, Jim Wynn and Richie Allen. A part of a recently discovered trove of Plaks found in the original box still wrapped in their opened wax packs. Owned by a former Topps employee with the box and wrappers found elsewhere in this auction.Auction Info
