1952 Coca-Cola Baseball "Playing Tips" PSA Graded Near Set (8/10). In the 1950's two American institutions were tailor made for one another, Coca Cola and baseball. Sitting on your porch, with an ice cold coke and listening to your favorite team was a choice made by many Americans. 1952 marked the year that the Yankees didn't have a DiMaggio in the lineup, but had a Mantle and the Braves signed an unassuming right fielder named Henry Aaron. Coca Cola also released a trading card set with playing tips from some of the superstars of the era. This set has become one of the difficult regional issues to collect and here we are offering an 8 card near set of the scarce 1952 Coca-Cola baseball playing tips cards. Missing Hank Bauer and Don Mueller for completion. Includes: PSA VG-EX 4: 1 card, Bobby Thomson/Hitting; PSA VG 3: 1 card, Pee Wee Reese; PSA Good+ 2.5: 1 card, Gil McDougald; PSA Good 2: 3 cards, Ed Lopat, Bobby Thomson/3rd Base, Wes Westrum; PSA PR 1(MK): 2 cards, Carl Furillo and Gil Hodges.Guide Value or Estimate: $1,500 - up.
