    1934 Al Demaree Die-Cuts (R304) Collection (13). Among the rarest 1930s gum cards are those issued by Dietz Gum Co., a Chicago confectioner, in packages of "Ball Players in Action Chewing Gum." The cards, so rare that a complete checklist may never be know, feature photographic portraits of players set upon cartoon bodies drawn by former major league pitcher Al Demaree. Present in the group are Cincinnati Reds - #101 Adams, 108 Bottomley; St. Louis Cardinals - #122 Watkins, 125 Collins, 127 Martin, 130 Orsatti; Pittsburgh Pirates - #141 Suhr, 142 Grace, 143 Lindstrom (uncatalogued); Chicago Cubs - #152 Hartnett, 154 Klein, 157 Warneke (uncatalogued), 160 Grimm.
