1932-34 Worch Cigar Baseball Photos Collection (19). From the John Esch Collection. The 1930's was an era that saw an explosion in baseball related promotions. Among the more obscure issues was the real-photo cards issued under the brand "Worch Cigars." The postcard sized cards come in various formats where they can be confused with other issues of the time. While these photos have fallen under the "Worch" name, they can certainly be separate team issues. Includes: 1932 Worch Cigars (5) - These are portraits with facsimile signatures of Minneapolis Millers. w/Donie Bush, Dutch Henry, Harry Rice, Art Ruble, and Ernie Smith; 1933 Worch Cigars (6) - Dale Alexander, Frank Frisch, Gabby Hartnett, Tony Lazzeri, Henie Manush, and Sam West; 1933 Minneapolis Star (2) - Players are from the 1933 Minneapolis Millers. w/Joe Glenn, and Ab Wright; 1934 St. Paul Daily News (7) - Players are from the 1934 St. Paul Saints. w/Otto Bluege, Bob Femmer, Bill McWilliams, Ray Phelps, and Gene Trow; 1934 Minneapolis Millers (1) - Pinky Hargrave.
