    1930's -1950's Cincinnati Reds Regional & Team Issue Collection. The late 1930's-early 1940's was a great era to be a Cincinnati Reds fan. The '39 squad took the NL pennant and made it all the way to "World Champions" status in 1940. Offered is a gallery of collectibles from that era to the early '50's. Includes: 1937/38 Huskies Whole Wheat - McCormick and Vander Meer real photo promo card (EX/MT); 1938 Cincinnati Reds Team Issue - Frank McCormick (EX/MT); 1940 Reds Team Issue (3) - Dejan (GD, pencil rev.), Thompson (EX) and Turner (EX); 1940 Real Photo Post Card - Harry S. Thobe (VG/EX); 1940 W711-2 Cincinnati Reds Team Issue Near Set (31/32) - Missing 1940 WS results card. This series came housed in a specially designed box (PR, missing top and bottom panels) right after the Reds claimed their second straight pennant in 1940. Harry Hartman was a sports writer who is credited with making this set happen. Grades EX to NM, one non-player card is GD; 1947 Walter Sweet - Ink Blotter with team composite. (EX); C. 1946 Mabley & Carew - Black & White 2-1/2"x 3-1/2" photo. Lonny Frey (EX-); 1947-51 Mabley & Carew (2) - Black & White 5x7" photos of players identified on the backs as Gus Mancuso and Harry Craft. (EX); 1948 Mabley & Carew (Booklet) - Booklet advertising for the 1948 photos (NM); 1948/49 Mabley & Carew (9) - Jimmy Bloodworth, Frank Fanovich, Augie Galan (pin hole), Ted Kluszewski (VG/EX), Danny Litwhiler (VG/EX), Lowrey, Page, Eddie Miller (pin hole), Babe Young (pin hole). Grades EX/MT unless noted.
