1916 Successful Farming (M101-5) Collection (7). The M101-5 edition is most commonly found with a blank back but a list of other sponsors does exist to keep type card collectors always vigilant. One of the toughest of these back variations is "Successful Farming" magazine based in Des Moines, Iowa. An offer for a quantity of cards that could be had in exchange for a subscription to the magazine--the longer the subscription, the more cards one received. It is very possible cards with these ad backs were only intended for the initial promotion and blank backed cards were actually received by subscribers. This could explain why so few are found today. To date, these are the only examples of these subjects recorded. Includes: #'s 30 Cheney (SGC 30 Good 2), 38 Coombs (SGC 20 FR 1.5), 67 Getz (SGC Authentic, sl. color touch), 117 Meyers (SGC 30 Good 2), 129 Myers (SGC 20 FR 1.5), 137 Pfeffer (SGC 20 FR 1.5) and 148 Rucker (SGC 30 Good 2).
