1912 W-Unc. Baseball Strip Cards SGC Graded Quartet (4) - With Two Uncatalogued Subjects. This series stayed in almost complete obscurity for close to a century before a few precious examples made their way to the attention of the hobby. The look and feel of the approx. 1-3/8" x 1-5/8" collectibles make them comparable to the W555 Jay S. Meyer "Base Ball Snap Shots" edition from 1910. It is possible they are a unique promotion or could very well be another Meyer sponsorship as they are dated to the 1912 era. For now, they are assumed to have served as part of a box of candy just like their W555 counterparts. Offered for the first time anywhere are four of these rare cards including a pair of subjects never before confirmed in any reference guide. Includes: Jack Barry (Uncatalogued, SGC 30 Good 2), Larry Doyle (Uncatalogued, SGC 20 FR 1.5), Oscar Stanage (SGC 20 fair 1.5), Cy Young (SGC Authentic).
