    Description

1910 W555 Jay S. Meyer "Base Ball Snap Shots" SGC-Graded (8). For years, little square Black & White cards not much larger than postage stamps fell into the "W" class of cards, the usual catch all for cards of unknown origin or circulation. Known subjects and portraits matched those in the E93, E94, E97 and E98 productions. Mystery solved when an intact box confirmed they were produced by Jay S. Meyer under the title "Base Ball Snap Shots." Offered is a collection of eight cards, each graded by SGC. Includes: SGC 88 NM/MT 8: 2 cards, Bob Bescher and Earl Moore; SGC 84 NM 7: 1 card, Red Murray; SGC 50 VG/EX 4: 3 cards, Mordecai Brown, Tommy Leach and Jim Pastorious; SGC 40 VG 3: 2 cards, Johnny Evers and Harry Steinfeldt.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
