    Description

1910's Baseball Scrapbook With Tobacco and Candy Cards with Cobb & Wagner. Offered is a fascinating baseball scrapbook put together circa 1910 with 108 baseball cards. The cards, all glued to paper - some back-to-back - include: 1909-11 T206 White Borders (66) with Clarke/Batting, Demmitt/St. Louis (VR PR, tear), Flick, Griffith, Huggins, Joss, Keeler, Lajoie/Throwing, Marquard/Pitching, Mathewson/Portrait, McGraw/Hand on Hip, Waddell/Portrait, (a couple are incomplete), Wallace(two pieces), Willis; 1909 E92 Dockman (1) - Wagner/Throwing; 1909-11 E254 Colgan's Chips (24) - w/Tinker, Jennings, Cobb, Wagner; 1909-11 E90-1 American Caramel (4) - Bemis(could be another set, trimmed bottom), Demmitt (trimmed), Hartzell (trimmed) and Upp; 1910 E90-2 American Caramel (2) - Adams and Hyatt; 1910 E93 Standard Caramel (1) - Covaleski; 1910 E96 Philadelphia Caramel (1) - Spencer; 1910 E104-3 Nadja Caramel (1) - Nicholls; 1910-11 T3 Turkey Red (1) - Schulte; 1911 T201 Mecca (3) - Bender/Oldring, Clarke/Byrne, Lajoie/Falkenberg; 1913 T200 Fatima Teams (4) - Chicago AM, Detroit, Cleveland and St. Louis Americans. Plus dozens of pages with cut out baseball pictures including Cobb (multiple), Jackson (multiple), Mathewson, Bender, Johnson, Lajoie, Alexander, Marquard, Collins plus many, many more plus some action pictures and teams. Overall condition of the approx.. 7-1/2" x 12" ledger book is very poor. Pages show tears, chipping, creasing, etc. and many are loose at the spine. Pages with cards are all loose except for one. Going strictly on the front of the cards - most are low grade (GD to PR with one card in two pieces) due to creasing, tears, glue, etc. We will leave it up to the winning bidder to remove from paper.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
