Extremely Rare 1911 "Big Eater" Richard Nebinger SGC 40 VG 3 - Only Two Examples on Record! If not for this extremely rare "Big Eater" card from 1911, Richard Nebinger might have been totally lost to baseball history. His career spanned from 1907 to 1911 but he only played in 1907, '08 and 1911. To the hobby, his card is far more impressive than his playing record. There is consistent corner and one light crease that is difficult to see. Graded SGC 40 VG 3, this is the highest graded example of only two graded by SGC to date. The set has a total SGC population of only twenty-one cards, PSA has yet to grade their first "Big Eater." This is one of the few "Big Eater" cards we have had the opportunity to bring to our bidders. That's how extremely rare this Pacific Coast League regional is. We can only hope eating "Big Eater" candy or caramel(?) was as sweet as owning one of these famous west-coast rarities.
