Beautiful 1953 Topps Baseball "Uncut Sheet" (10 Strips of 10). NOTE: There is a water stain that affects card #'s 14, 62, 13, 54 and 12 (which is also creased) of the bottom strip.

The beauty of an uncut sheet of 1950's baseball cards cannot be understated. The see the cards in their virgin state and realizing that it is a treasure that shouldn't even exist greatly adds to their allure. An opportunity to put this amazing baseball card display piece on your wall has no known equal. Just sit back and bask in what will sure to be never ending "oohs" and aahs!" This item was discovered decades ago when Topps was clearing warehouse space in the 1950's. There are currently no known uncut full sheets featuring 1953 Topps Baseball cards. In total, there are 100 cards in the form of ten, 10-card strips showcasing 80 different players plus 20 double printed players. This reconstructed sheet contains card numbers #1 to #85 with card #'s 10, 44, 61, 72 and 81 not represented. They are printed front/back to completion. These are the very same cards that were meant to be individually cut into singles and placed into wax packs. There is a stellar line up of HoFers including Mickey Mantle, Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Bob Feller, Red Schoendienst, Monte Irvin, Johnny Mize, Enos Slaughter, Pee Wee Reese and Eddie Mathews. Others stars include Collins, McDougald, Labine and Garcia.
The outer dimension is a robust 32x45," the custom matting was done so as to allow viewing of the front and the backs of the cards. NOTE: There is some wear and scuffing to the frame and gold title plate. Cards are bright and clean overall with cards along the farthest right column showing a crease, just one card shows surface loss. This has completely failed to negatively impact even in the slightest the extremely impressive visual display. The colors are nothing shy of saturated, glossy perfection. Vivid red and deep black name plates prevail, each surrounded by the glorious color palette the renowned illustrator Gerry Dvorak intended. An ideal piece to display in your man-cave where sports is the main topic of conversation. A masterpiece like this is a crowning piece for any treasured collection.
