    Description

Signed 1909-11 T206 Polar Bear Sam Crawford (With Bat) BGS Authentic Auto. A devastating combination of power and speed elevated "Wahoo Sam" to the top of the career charts for triples with a total of 309, fourteen better than his closest rival and Hall of Fame teammate Ty Cobb. Much like Gehrig's experience with Ruth, Crawford often found himself in the shadow of the more famous Tiger.

The signed T206 offered here would be a prized entry in any autograph collection. The card is a "Polar Bear...Base Ball Series" with a "Factory No. 6" overprint variant. Meanwhile, stunning graphics and a sweet "Wahoo Sam Crawford" autograph bold blue ink more than offset the wear. This lot was consigned by the estate of a collector who had amassed a collection of thousands of autographed trading cards, photographs and ephemera obtained in the 50's and 60's. Graded BGS Authentic Auto.
