    1970-71 M137 Dayton Daily News Baseball Partial Set (160) Plus Variations. The largest sets of baseball "cards" ever produced by a newspaper has to be the Dayton Daily News "Bubble-Gumless" cards produced in 1970 and 1971. Each of the approx. 3-1/2' x 4" Black & White "cards" was cut out of papers from April 1970 to May 1971. Offered is a complete run of numbers 1 to 160 plus two Red/Black "All-Star" cards of Johnny Bench and Tony Perez, a variation to #68 Simpson and 78 Gulett w/1970 Stats and a second #11 Perez that has the name of the paper and date along the top. HoFers include 1 Rose (FR), 2 Bench (FR), 4 Killebrew, 5 F. Robinson (FR), 6 Mays (FR), 7 Aaron, 8 Seaver, 11 Perez, 112 Morgan, 121 Santo, 154 B. Robinson, 156 Stargell, , 15 Al Kaline, 16 Bob Gibson, 18 Banks, 28 Yastrzemski, 31 Jackson, 32 Clemente, 62 Carew, 75 Hunter, 77 Bunning, 82 Palmer, 88 Brock. As is, the hand-cut pieces are mostly excellent condition but none have a full key-line showing. For the collector who loves the obscure promotions our hobby has to (rarely) offer. Total 165 pieces.
