1969 Topps Mickey Mantle (Yellow) #500 PSA Mint 9 - Only Two Higher. It was the year Topps fans plopped down in their bean bag chair and let out a huge sigh. Mantle was gone from baseball. Astronauts were heading to the moon, and hippies to Woodstock. Exceptional high-grade "Yellow Letters" variation from the 1969 Topps issue are not easy to acquire by any means, let alone the granddaddy of them all--Mickey Mantle. This card is a sentimental favorite as it is among the final cards of Mantle issued at the end of his career, and it makes for a stellar piece with high collectible appeal on its own accord. Graded PSA Mint 9. A near-perfect beauty that shows you what antique cards look like when they are just pulled from a pack. Of the almost 8,500 cards submitted to PSA, there are sixty-five others that have graded MINT with two higher. The "Mint" label is an honor that applies to just the top fraction of 1% of the PSA population.
