    Description

1968 Topps Mets Rookie Stars - Nolan Ryan #177 PSA Mint 9. Far and away the most important and valuable card in the 1968 set and one of the key rookie cards of the 1960's is card #177 from the 1968 Topps baseball series featuring pitching legend Nolan Ryan. This otherwise unassuming card introduced the future strike out king of the baseball world to a generation of Mets fans and card collectors alike. Presented is a close to perfectly centered copy with four sharp corners and crystal clear registration. The front gloss is even and shiny. This is a very strong example and begs to the idea "What If?" had PSA implemented a 9.5 grade level. Graded PSA Mint 9. Of the almost 7,600 cards submitted to PSA, sixty have achieved Mint status, only one has graded higher.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
