    Description

1965 Topps Sandy Koufax #300 PSA Mint 9 - None Higher. Koufax is notable as one of the outstanding Jewish athletes in American professional sports. His decision not to pitch Game 1 of the 1965 World Series because game day fell on Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement, garnered national attention as an example of conflict between social pressures and personal beliefs. Issued during his final full season in 1965, this card doesn't look five years ago let alone a year shy of a half century. It should come as no surprise that the card displays all of the characteristics inherent in such a high grade. Beautiful colors, ultra-bright clean borders, four sharp corner and perfect registration are all readily apparent with this card. Graded PSA Mint 9. There are none rated higher.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
