    Description

1965 Topps Roberto Clemente #160 PSA Mint 9 - None Higher. Possessing a rare mix of superior skills both offensively and defensively, Roberto Clemente won the Gold Glove Award 12 times, earned National League batting titles four times (1961, 1964, 1965, 1967) and appeared in 15 All-Star Games. He finished his 18-year career with a .317 batting average and exactly 3,000 hits. What a disservice it would be not to mention his humanitarian efforts in Latin American and the Caribbean delivering baseball gear and food to the impoverished populous. His untimely death came delivering aid to displaced victims after an earthquake in Nicaragua.

Offered is a wonderfully fresh from the pack example of card #160 from the 1965 Topps issue that features a close-up portrait of Clemente. Do we need to criticize something? Horizontal centering is a sliver away from perfection. Gloss and surfaces show a complete absence of blemishes or imperfections. The print registration is precise resulting a crisp finely detail portrait. All four corners come to well-defined 90-degree angles. Unquestionably "Mint" in all regards. Graded PSA Mint 9, one of thirty-seven in Mint with none graded higher.
