    Description

1963 Topps Pete Rose - 1963 Rookie Stars #537 SGC 96 Mint 9. There was no more popular player on the Reds roster in 1963 than the twenty-two year old second baseman, who attended high school just five miles from Crosley Field and earned the National League Rookie of the Year Award for his debut season contributions. His work ethic resulted in his earning 17 All-Star game appearances, three batting titles, NL MVP in 1973, World Series MVP in 1975, three World Championships, Gold Glove awards, Silver Slugger, Roberto Clemente and All-Century Team honors. No other player has generated more hits (4,256), played in more games (3,500+) or stepped up to the plate more times (14,000+) than any man at any position. His stats make him out to be Herculean but we all know he was human. Slowly and steadily, the pendulum of public opinion appears to be on a swing toward forgiveness, but like another Dead Ball Era legend, "Shoeless Joe" Jackson, it is apparent that Rose's excommunication from our National Pastime has done little to dampen the desirability within the collecting market.
Graded SGC 96 Mint 9, this card is one of ten graded 96 'Mint 9" with one single copy rating higher. All this from a total population of over 570 submissions. All of the elements a collector wants and needs in a Mint card - surfaces, colors, gloss, corners, edges and centering. All dutifully inspected by what we all know to be conservative eyes at SGC have all passed the test and has earned the coveted "mint" assessment. All as fresh and slick as the day this card rolled off the presses. The full-bleed top portion shows nary a hint of wear and it is usually this are where the first unforgiving signs of handling occurs. An exceptional example of a key rookie card.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
