    Description

1957 Brooks Robinson #328 PSA Mint 9 - Only One Higher. Dave Winfield had one of the best lines of any Hall of Fame induction speech when he told the Cooperstown crowd, "If I'd have known I would've been this successful, I would have saved all my rookie cards!" But, like Winfield, Brooks Robinson only saved one of his own, with Heritage Auctions having the privilege of putting it up for auction in 2015. The card was graded excellent and with all due respect to Brooks, this one is considerably nicer.

Graded PSA Mint 9. It may not be Brooks' personal card but it is one of the top 1.1% of the almost 3,200 PSA submissions. The 1957 Topps issue remains one of the most important in trading card history as the first to utilize full-color photography, and Robinson joins future HoFers Frank Robinson, Don Drysdale and Bill Mazeroski as key rookies. Mildly imperfect centering is the main factor in the PSA rating. Every physical aspect of this card matches the quality of play Baltimore fans had the privilege to witness first hand for two decades.
