    Description

1955 Topps Ernie Banks #28 PSA Mint 9 - None Higher. "Mr. Cub" is not just one of the most popular players to ever put on a jersey graced with the beloved Cubbies logo thanks to his "Let's Play Two!" enthusiasm. Banks was also very popular with fans on the show circuit greeting fans and signing most have seemed like an endless number of baseballs, cards, photos and jerseys. The Hall of Famer, former Negro Leaguer, two-time National League MVP (1957, 1958) and 500 Home Run Club member is seen here from just the second appearance on a Topps baseball card. He is one of those all-too rare player who held a true appreciation for his fans and it showed.

Graded PSA Mint 9. Despite being over 60-years old this card is immaculate. Of course the centering is still perfect but the gloss is as fresh, colors are as vibrant, and surfaces are as clean as they were back in the Spring of 1955. We can't imagine another card being as impressive and according to the PSA census... we are right. This is one of sixteen examples graded Mint by PSA with none graded higher. This ranks this card above 99.4% of the PSA population currently at almost 2,300 submissions.
