    Description

1955 Bowman Hoyt Wilhelm #1 SGC 96 Mint 9 - 1 of 1. Here we offer a strong Mint example of the always condition sensitive number one card in the 1955 Bowman issue featuring Hall of Fame knuckleballer Hoyt Wilhelm. Wilhelm's image is framed in the classic Bowman television set with perfect centering at 50/50 on all sides. The gloss is dripping off of this beauty and the corners are as sharp as the day it was printed in Philadelphia over five decades ago. This phenomenal example is the only one to ever achieve Mint 9 status from SGC and it has only one counterpart that achieved the same grade from PSA with none ever grading higher. This is a piece that is necessary to start you 1955 Bowman set in style.
