    Description

1954 Topps Ernie Banks #94 PSA NM-MT 8. One of the most popular debut-year card honors goes to the man who epitomizes the spirit of the Chicago Cubs. "Mr. Cub" was almost single-handedly the inspiration for the enthusiasm for the franchise for a generation of devoted fans. His career began in the Negro Leagues but the breaking down of the color barrier gave baseball a future Hall of Famer who was honored twice with the National League MVP award (1957, 1958) and membership in the esteemed 500 Home Run Club.

With just a glance at this superb card, the observer can almost feel Banks' "Let's Play Two!" enthusiasm. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. As expected, almost every facet of its presentation speaks quality. Notably absent are the '54 Topps issue's vexing "print specks" one commonly experiences on cards with white or yellow backgrounds. Hall of Fame rookie cards are right now the hottest commodity in the hobby with so few cards to survive in high grade.
