    Description

1952 Topps Willie Mays #261 PSA NM 7. From the $1,000,000 find of 2018! As a pro, "The Say Hey Kid" would earn his immortality in the black and orange of the New York and San Francisco Giants. From his debut season his talents impressed, as he would claim the 1951 National League Rookie of the Year Award and participate in one of baseball's most famous games (Bobby Thomson's Called Shot contest), going on to meet fellow rookie Mickey Mantle in the 1951 Fall Classic. Along with Mantle, Willie Mays' rookie deserves credit for this set's elite ranking within lists of collectors' most favored issues.

Graded PSA NM 7. Offered is a spectacular example of Mays' first Topps card, surpassed by fewer than nine percent of all unqualified submissions to PSA. Very bold colors, strict registration and slick gloss provide aesthetic appeal of a superior level. Have you ever wondered what this card looked like in 1952? Now we know.
