    Description

1952 Topps Mickey Mantle #311 SGC VG 3. For many, this card opened the door to hobby enlightenment. For most outside the hobby, this card represents the hobby. It is the single most desirable card of the post-war era. While it is the tremendous historical relevance of the Mick that drives its value.

Graded SGC VG 3. His portrait is mildly affected by moisture staining affecting the bottom portion of the card. This is an exceptionally hard to see wrinkle near the top center and a series of small horizontal dash surface impressions at the level of the brim of his cap. That sounds more harsh than it seems as the card offers excellent visual appeal. Gloss, color quality and the very clean and glowing white border make for an alluring combination. This is a very nice card that has no single major faults.
