    Description

1952 Topps Mickey Mantle #311 SGC 60 EX 5. For every other baseball card where it applies, "short print" and "scarce high-number" would be the top selling points and nothing more would need to be said. When the card is the most coveted post-war card ever produced featuring one of the most All-American baseball superstars those points are mere footnotes. Just twenty years old at the time of issue, Mickey Mantle would become a baseball legend and national icon. The offered example of his second year 1952 Topps card #311 has been graded SGC 60 EX 5. This card offers very nice centering, saturated colors, modest corner wear and a largely blemish free portrait, there is some light speckling to account for the SGC assessment.
