    Description

1952 Topps Hoyt Wilhelm #392 SGC 96 Mint 9 - Pop One, None Higher! A grand era in baseball card collecting began with the debut of the now world famous Topps name. Any high-end specimen featuring a player with Hall of Fame status from this set is a treasured memento holding particular appeal. Offered is baseball's greatest knuckleballer - Hoyt Wilhelm. Wilhelm was a rookie in '52 who came out knuckles blazing with a 15-3 record and a 2.43 ERA. This example of his rookie card is a true beauty and a condition rarity. Four very high quality corners encompass a pair of clean and glossy surfaces, all surrounded by crisp edges. The portrait displays rich colors, fresh gloss and close to perfect centering. Graded SGC 96 Mint 9. One of only six graded Mint by PSA with one rated higher from a total population of over 600 submissions.
