    Description

    1952 Topps Baseball Complete Set (407). The undisputed king of the post-war era, this first great Topps baseball set joins the T206 tobacco issue and the 1933 Goudey set to comprise the hobby's "Big Three." Far from just a coming out party for the industry's most recognizable baseball card purveyor, the 1952 issue holds the most coveted rookie in the game, Mickey Mantle, as well as cards featuring fellow period legends Mays, Mathews, Snider, Campanella and Robinson. Fantastic condition throughout establishes this as one of the finer complete sets to reach the auction block in recent memory. A total of 101 cards have been graded by SGC with an aggregate SMR value of $25,280. Highlights include: Graded Cards - SGC 96 MINT 9: 1 card, #286; SGC 92 NM/MT+ 8.5: 10 cards w/#'s 264, 281, 282, 285, 289, 290, 291, 292, 302 and 307; SGC 88 NM/MT 8: 20 cards w/#'s 55 Boone BB, 84 RB, 88 Feller RB, 144, 154, 243 Doby, 253, 255, 257, 258, 259, 266, 267, 276, 279, 296, 299, 306, 375 and 387 Myers; SGC 86 NM+ 7.5: 16 cards w/#'s 86, 98, 105, 125, 225, 228, 252, 263, 265, 268 Lemon, 275, 278, 301, 310, 395 and 402; SGC 84 NM 7: 36 cards w/#'s 15 Pesky RB, 32 BB, 41 BB, 82, 97, 107, 114, 118, 184, 195 Minoso, 198, 205, 213, 215 Bauer, 220, 222, 262, 269, 283, 284, 293, 297, 305, 308, 309, 321 Black, 329, 348, 350, 353, 358, 385 Franks, 393, 394 Herman, 401 and 406 Nuxhall; SGC 80 EX/NM 6: 16 cards w/#'s 8 BB, 36 Hodges RB, 44 BB, 148, 191 Berra, 234, 261 Mays, 312 Robinson, 313 Thomson, 314 Campanella, 322, 337, 345, 347 Adcock, 360 and 400 Dickey; SGC 60 EX 5: 2 cards w/#'s 311 Mantle and 407 Mathews.
