    Description

1950 Bowman Jackie Robinson #22 PSA NM-MT 8. While other athletes in the Negro Leagues had immense talent, it was Jack Robinson's character and maturity off the field, as well as his talents on the field, that made him the perfect candidate to break Major League Baseball's color barrier in 1947. His debut was made the more unquestionable thanks to a NL ROY award. The back of this card mentions Jackie winning the league's MVP award for his 1949 season, in which he hit a league leading .342 and finished second in the NL with 124 RBIs.

Graded PSA NM-MT 8. Arguably one of the finer portraits of this true baseball hero can be found on his 1950 Bowman card, which appears in near-pristine form in this offering. Surfaces are clean, hues are vivid and registration is razor-sharp. Only the slightest difference in border width and slight tip wear seems to prohibits this beauty from climbing even higher. A popular card that stay in private collections for a long time.
