    Description

1949 Bowman Jackie Robinson #50 PSA NM-MT+ 8.5. While it's no groundbreaking statement to express that prejudice is most fundamentally rooted in ignorance. Human nature instructs us to fear and condemn leaving racial divisions in this nation since colonial times. Jackie Robinson battled through the harshest adversity ever faced by a Major League player in winning the 1947 Rookie of the Year Award and arguably his greatest season ever would be posted two years later in 1949. Robinson's batting average jumped forty-six points to a National League-best .342 that year. His ratio of walks to strikeouts more than doubled, and he added thirty-nine RBI's to his 1948 total, which, along with his League-leading thirty-seven stolen bases, earning him the 1949 Most Valuable Player Award. Offered is his 1949 Bowman card #50 in the nostalgic series.

Graded PSA NM-MT+ 8.5. One of only seven in NM-MT+ with ten rated higher. This 70-year old gem displays precision centering, four high quality corners, perfect registration and phenomenal color.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
