1933 Goudey Napoleon Lajoie #106 SGC 10 Poor 1 - A Newly Discovered Example. This card comes to us from the family of the man who acquired this card back in the 1930's. It is wholly new to the hobby and is being made available for the first time ever. We are pleased to be able to allowing another lucky collector to graduate from the "don't have one" status to "have one!" Various theories have been presented as to why card #106 never made it into 1933 Goudey packs. The exact reason is lost to history but "sales" is a safe answer. This example found its way into a scrapbook of treasured mementos, a victory over the mammoth gum corporation. Upon removal, the back of the card was left with a spot of glue and an obvious area of surface loss and creasing. Graded SGC 10 Poor 1. The card displays fantastic colors and crisp clarity and if it is not perfectly centered it is a hairline off.
