    Description

1933 Goudey Babe Ruth SGC-Graded Quartet (4). Each card has been graded by SGC. Of the 240 cards which comprise the 1933 Goudey baseball series four cards stand above all the others. With all due respect to Mr. Lajoie, each of the four different babe Ruth cards have become hobby classics with card #144 reaching iconic status. There truly is no need for any oration on the exploits of the "Bambino" both on, and off, the field. He is beyond the game, he is Americana. From the original owner who acquired them over 75 years ago, we offer all four of the Babe Ruth appearances: #'s 53 Babe Ruth/Batting, Yellow Background (SGC 30 GD 2), 144 Babe Ruth/Batting/Full Figure (SGC 30 GD 2), 149 Babe Ruth/Batting, Red Background (SGC 40 VG 3) and 181 Babe Ruth/Seated, Holding Bat (SGC 30 GD 2). No true vintage 1930's collection can be without at least one of these prized treasures.
