    Description

    1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #53 SGC 60 EX 5.
The first great bubble gum issue in baseball card history, a set that joins the 1909-11 T206 and 1952 Topps Baseball in a hobby triumvirate fondly dubbed "The Big Three," is the Goudey series from 1933. Babe Ruth would be honored with no fewer than four cards, an honor worthy of the man who called his shot in the '32 Series which, at the time, was just six or seven months prior.

Card #53, or the "Yellow Background" Ruth, is the most challenging of the four Ruth appearances, and the first to see public circulation. The offered example is graded SGC 60 EX 5. A well-preserved example with the added bonus of great eye appeal.
