    Description

1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #53 PSA EX-MT 6. The first great bubble gum issue in baseball card history--a set that joins the 1909-11 T206 and 1952 Topps Baseball in a hobby triumvirate fondly dubbed "The Big Three"--is the Goudey series from 1933. Babe Ruth would be honored with no fewer than four cards, a honor worthy of the man who called his shot in the '32 Series, which, at the time, was just six or seven months prior.

The most challenging of the four is also the first to see public circulation - card #53 or the "Yellow Background" Ruth. The offered example is physically superior to the PSA EX-MT 6 rating as surfaces are problem-free, print quality is striking, almost completely void of flaws and very slight misalignment of the colors that remain rich and very nicely saturated. A wonderfully well-preserved example.
