    Description

1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #144 PSA NM 7. By 1933, Babe Ruth was well-established as the game's all-time greatest, and he enjoyed worldwide fame. The Goudey Gum Company -- the first American manufacturer to issue baseball cards with each stick of gum -- took full advantage of this fact, opportunistically featuring Ruth on no less than four cards in its initial 240-piece effort. The '33 Goudey set is rightfully viewed as a consummate masterpiece, with gorgeous portraiture capturing many of the greatest names of the National Pastime's pre-World War II era. And certainly there were none greater than Babe Ruth, who strikes his classic, full-length batting pose here on what may be the set's most recognizable card. Graded PSA NM 7. For years, this card was proudly kept on open display. The colors of our online image are an accurate reflection of the colors of the offered card.
